Valinda is a corporate finance lawyer and retired partner of Vinson & Elkins LLP, a 700+ person law firm headquartered in Texas with offices in major energy, financial and political centers worldwide. She graduated from Wake Forest University then received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. A native of Georgia, Valinda spent her professional career in Dallas representing financial institutions, private equity firms and public and private companies in complex financings. She is a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church where she is involved in the Belong Disability Ministry and is also mother to William, a Connecting Point teammate and the source of her passion for those with different abilities. Valinda loves baseball and is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers, the Atlanta Braves and Clayton Kershaw.
